Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit akaccounting.gr or get in touch with us, why we process it, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Greek law. It is a translation; if the two versions differ, the Greek text prevails.

What we process and why
When you contact us
When you call or email us, we process your name, your contact details, the content of your message and anything else you choose to tell us. We use it to answer your enquiry and, if you ask, to propose how we could work together.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You are not obliged to give us your details, but without them we cannot reply.
Please do not send documents or sensitive information, such as health data, in your first message. We will tell you what is needed, if anything.
When you visit the site
To deliver the pages, our hosting provider processes technical data with each request: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. It is used only to run and secure the site, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use visitor analytics, advertising networks or social media plugins, and we do not build visitor profiles.
If you become a client
When we work together, we process the data our services require and the data Greek tax and accounting law obliges us to keep (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). We inform you about that processing separately when the engagement begins.
Cookies and storage on your device
The site uses no cookies, neither our own nor third-party ones.
If you change a setting in the accessibility panel (text size, contrast, link underlining, animations), your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so that it applies on every page. The entry holds no personal information, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is removed by “Reset settings” or by clearing site data in your browser.
Because it is saved only when you ask for that feature, and is needed to provide it, no consent is required (article 4(5) of Greek law 3471/2006). That is why the site shows no cookie consent banner.
Who receives it
- Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc. (USA), which acts on our behalf as a processor.
- The email and telephone providers we use to communicate with you.
- Public authorities, only where the law requires it.
We do not sell data or share it for advertising.
Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU) 2023/1795 (Article 45 GDPR).
The link on our address opens Google Maps. If you follow it, Google’s privacy policy applies.
How long we keep it
- Messages and contact details: for as long as the conversation needs. If no engagement follows, we delete them, unless the law or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims requires us to keep them.
- Client data: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Technical visit data: for a short period, under the hosting provider’s terms.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data (Article 15 GDPR),
- have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16),
- have your data erased (Article 17),
- restrict processing (Article 18),
- data portability (Article 20),
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Article 21).
To exercise them, email us at info@akaccounting.gr. We reply free of charge within one month, and may ask you to confirm your identity. For complex requests that period can be extended by two further months, and we will tell you if it is.
You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your data is available only to the people who need it to help you. We make no decisions based solely on automated processing.
Changes
When the way we process data changes, we update this page and the date at the top of it.
